      My older sister is an astrophysicist, which means she studies things in space, specifically galaxies. She showed me that being a researcher/scientist is an interesting career path at a time when I was confused and didn’t know what I wanted to do. I also thought that people who had careers in science were much smarter than me and that I wouldn’t be good enough. She convinced me that I was capable of doing a PhD and in the end I went for it – here I am now! 🙂
